Day 7 - Bus Ride to Bhuj

After a night’s stay at Kumbhalgarh Fort, it was time for us to depart for Bhuj.

A chilly night was a good experience, but we sought the warmth of the bus as refuge.

We wondered where we will be taken to, and what new sights await us: lessons brought to life, being in the field and learning as a class.

Eyes closing, muscles aching; scattered conversations, window observations; every hour passes.

Lunch was a highlight of the day: Spices galore, exotic ice cream -

stomachs turning, and churning, and burning;

taste-buds and bucket lists satisfied.

Before the glucose crash, colourful conversations emerge.

A moving bus is also a vessel for reflection.

With no rush to a destination,

no deadline awaiting us at the end of the road,

our minds could be free.

No special activities planned -

just going with the flow.

From watching the sunrise at the start of our journey,

to seeing the light going out as the day ends,

13 hours passed.

The end of this journey marks a new one.
